What You Need to Know

Answers to common questions about our process, licensing, timelines, and what it's like to work with Green Terra Construction.

Getting Started

We serve the Greater New Orleans area including New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, the Westbank, and the Northshore communities of Covington, Mandeville, and Slidell. For larger commercial or specialty projects, we consider engagements across Southeast Louisiana.

Yes. Green Terra Construction operates as Spine NOLA Construction LLC DBA Green Terra Construction. We hold a Commercial Contractor License (#69001) and a Residential Contractor License (#886618) in Louisiana. We carry full general liability and workers' compensation insurance.

We specialize in commercial build-outs, custom homes, historic renovations, full interior renovations, kitchen and bath remodels, additions, and sustainable development. Whether it's a ground-up new build or restoring a century-old shotgun, we bring the same level of discipline and craft.

Reach out through our contact page, call us at (504) 612-1222, or email info@greenterraconstruction.com. We'll schedule a site visit and owner meeting to understand your vision, review drawings and scope, and walk you through our TERRA process — Tell Us Your Vision, Evaluate & Align, Refine the Plan, Run the Build, and Assure.

Project Process

TERRA is our client-facing project journey: T — Tell Us Your Vision, E — Evaluate & Align, R — Refine the Plan, R — Run the Build, A — Assure. We don't break ground until everything else is grounded — your scope, your budget, and your expectations.

After the site visit and scope review, we provide a non-itemized estimate. For clients who want a detailed breakdown, we offer a Preliminary Agreement that covers an itemized division cost breakdown with prorated overhead and profit. This ensures full transparency before a contract is signed.

We use milestone-based draws tied to project progress. A mobilization draw is collected before work begins (covering permits, material procurement, and initial scheduling), and subsequent draws are tied to completed phases. Every payment milestone is outlined in the contract before signing.

Timelines vary based on scope, permitting, and complexity. A kitchen or bath renovation might take 6–10 weeks, while a full home renovation or new build can range from 4–12 months. Historic projects in HDLC or VCC jurisdictions may require additional review time. We provide a detailed schedule during the planning phase.
